The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has announced a series of zonal town hall meetings as part of its consultations and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The meetings will take place across the country’s six geopolitical zones and will bring together citizens and stakeholders to discuss issues of national importance.
Announcing the schedule in a statement, Tony Ehilebo, Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), said the first engagement, for the North-West, will hold in Katsina, Katsina State, on Tuesday, September 22.
The South-South town hall is fixed for Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, September 25, followed by the North-Central meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Monday, September 28. The South-East engagement will hold in Enugu, Enugu State, on Wednesday, September 30. Dates for the remaining zones will be announced later.
According to the statement, the meetings will focus on national stability and the welfare of citizens. They will be held under the campaign’s theme, “Reset Nigeria,” and will address accountability in governance, transparency in the management of public resources, and citizen participation.
The organisation urged citizens and stakeholders to attend and contribute to the discussions on issues affecting the country.
