Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other Nigerians gathered at Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna on Saturday, ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s arrival for the party’s 2027 presidential campaign flag-off.
A correspondent observed that major roads leading to the stadium had been barricaded, and that supporters began arriving as early as 7 a.m.
A festive atmosphere
Dressed in bright outfits, the crowd sang, danced and chanted in Hausa and English. Slogans included “Tinubu Again,” “Tinubu Our Father,” “Tinubu Continuity” and “Asiwaju, Uba Sani for Second Term.”
Many wore T-shirts, caps and hijabs printed with Tinubu’s image, APC insignia and portraits of state governors, especially those of Kaduna and Kano.
The occasion
The rally launches the APC’s campaign for the 2027 presidential election. Thirty-one governors, party leaders and supporters are expected to attend in support of Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
