Zazoo crooner, Habeeb Badmus, widely known as Portable, suffered his first defeat in celebrity boxing after losing to skit creator Carter Efe at Chaos in the Ring 4.

The fight was held late on Friday, May 1, and stretched into the early hours of Saturday at Balmoral Hall inside the Federal Palace Hotel. After three rounds, judges awarded Efe a unanimous decision victory, scoring the bout 27–30 across all scorecards.

Portable entered the match unbeaten, having previously secured wins over Charles Okocha in 2023 and Speed Darlington in April 2025. In the pre-fight face-off, he confidently predicted another win, citing his past victories. Efe, however, fired back with a blunt warning: “One punch and you fall.”

Once the fight began, Portable came out aggressively, throwing wild punches in the opening round. Efe stayed composed, countering with more measured and precise strikes. By the second round, Efe had found his rhythm, landing cleaner shots and dictating the tempo. The final round followed the same trajectory, with Efe maintaining control and finishing stronger until the final bell.

The outcome crowned Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion and ended Portable’s undefeated streak.

Portable’s earlier victories included a December 2023 win over Okocha at Landmark Beach, reportedly linked to a financial dispute, and a knockout win over Speed Darlington at the Balmoral Convention Centre in April 2025, when his opponent failed to continue after the first round due to injury.

The event was promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in collaboration with AK Promotions, founded by former heavyweight champion Amir Khan, and sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control.

Ahead of the event, Balmoral Group Promotions CEO Ezekiel Adamu emphasized that the platform aims to showcase talent and provide visibility for fighters, describing it as an opportunity to elevate African boxing on the global stage.

The event was attended by many businessmen and celebrities, including Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), Oladapo Daniel (D’banj), and Inetime Alfred Odon (Timaya), to mention a few.
