Veteran Nollywood actress Shan George has weighed in on the ongoing marital controversy surrounding television host Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, Sandra, stating that men who engage in affairs with married women must be prepared to face serious spiritual and generational consequences.
In a lengthy post shared on her Facebook page over the weekend, Shan George called out singer Chike, who has been at the centre of the crisis after Frank Edoho publicly accused Sandra of having an extramarital affair with the artist. The scandal, which has gripped social media for over a week, took a dramatic turn when Sandra counter-accused Frank of infidelity with several Nigerian celebrities. Chike, born Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, has maintained silence on the allegations, neither confirming nor denying his involvement; a stance that has drawn criticism from many public figures.
Shan George did not mince words. She described sleeping with another man’s wife as a “TUFIAKWA”- an Igbo expression of disgust and rejection and insisted the act invites generational curses. She also offered measured advice to couples navigating marital turbulence, cautioning against revenge-driven behaviour during difficult periods and urging wives in unhappy marriages to walk away with their dignity intact rather than resort to infidelity.
“Any form of ‘Do me I do you’ must be avoided until issues are settled,” she wrote. “And for the ladies, if the marriage becomes unbearable after trying your best, please leave. Engaging in infidelity while still married is a sacrilege.”
She concluded by calling on Chike to take responsibility and issue a formal apology, not only to Frank Edoho, but to every man whose wife he has allegedly been romantically involved with.
